# Speedy Bonding > Speedy Bonding is a free, open-source (MIT) Windows desktop SOCKS5 load balancer for using multiple Internet connections with IDM, with optional Steam-only routing. It turns usable IPv4 interfaces (Wi-Fi, broadband/RAS, Ethernet, mobile) into one local SOCKS5 entry point at 127.0.0.1:8080 and binds each new proxy connection to a selected source address. It is weighted connection load balancing, not packet-level multipath bonding. Public preview, version 1.1.0. A single TCP connection stays on the interface where it started, so applications that open several concurrent connections (such as IDM and Steam) can benefit, but the byte split is not always exactly 50/50. ## Docs - [README](https://github.com/MHJoy99/speedy-bonding#readme): what it does, quick start, IDM and Steam Mode usage, limitations - [Architecture diagram](https://github.com/MHJoy99/speedy-bonding/blob/main/docs/architecture.svg): the routing model - [Changelog](https://github.com/MHJoy99/speedy-bonding/blob/main/CHANGELOG.md): release notes - [Security policy](https://github.com/MHJoy99/speedy-bonding/blob/main/SECURITY.md): private vulnerability reporting - [Full plain-text description for LLMs](https://mhjoy99.github.io/speedy-bonding/llms-full.txt): everything in one file ## Project - [Project website](https://mhjoy99.github.io/speedy-bonding/) - [Source code on GitHub](https://github.com/MHJoy99/speedy-bonding) - [Issues](https://github.com/MHJoy99/speedy-bonding/issues) ## Optional - [Upstream project: RezaRafia/Speedy](https://github.com/RezaRafia/Speedy): the original project this is a maintained fork of - [sing-box](https://github.com/SagerNet/sing-box): the runtime used by Steam Mode - [More projects by MHJoy99](https://github.com/MHJoy99)
